Soul Searching.

My sister Caron passed to spirit on 26th February 1996 at just 20 years old, she had had a difficult few years but just as she had started to turn her life around she was taken from us. As a celebration of her life I would like to post a poem written by her in her darkest hour. Thank you for reading.

As I watch the stars that shine,
I wonder what is truly mine,
For when it is my time to go,
I’ll only have myself to show,
No fancy items will impress,
Just the soul that I possess,
My inner self is all they see,
What has transformed, what’s made me, me,
And as I wonder through the days,
Some so clear, and some in haze,
I realise to feel at ease,
You have to find a way to please,
Your mind, your body and your soul,
You need contentment and a goal,
So you can pass yourself and say,
I feel so good, I achieved this day.
